Let's start with a couple screenshots of the latest fixes.

(note: I haven't changed the version number in the title bar yet -- the game doesn't work in the 0.2 release)

The game is Tongari Boushi to Oshare na Mahou Tsukai, and at the time of writing this, melonDS is the only emulator that can run it.

It has an antipiracy system that checks how long ROM transfers take, similarly to some Pokémon games.

Sooo... melonDS is still far from being accurate, but I guess it's not too bad :)

Whoooooaaaaaa. Impressive! Excited to see how many other games you can get running by working your black magic!

I see that you are doing an incredible job with this emulator. I also read somewhere that you are interested in making local networking possible and to be honest that is how I found a reddit posting containing information about MelonDS.

Man. So many people have discovered melonDS from Reddit, I wouldn't be surprised if StapleButter discovered his own project from Reddit. /s

This is awesome.
This game has been picking up my interest for a while (Animal Crossing clones, what's not to love?) and I'd love to play it on something other than real hardware. Furthermore, hopefully this gives pause to people slinging shit on other emulators to make a certain one seem more "accurate" than it is, whether it has bugs or not. It's unbelievable how many late gen releases are marred with emulation problems - the Pokemon Typing game can't even save.

In all honesty, melonDS didn't keep the honor for too long -- medusa quickly caught up, and amusingly, desmume did too :)

Regardless, I haven't seen a lot of shit slinging yet, but there's a trend of using desmume as a reference despite it not being that accurate.
