This thread will show you how to transfer DS pokemon from your melonDS save file over to the Dolphin emulator.
13 minute video guide: https://files.catbox.moe/2qn9v5.mp4 First you'll need to download the latest version of the PKHeX save editor https://projectpokemon.org/home/files/file/1-pkhex/ In order to run PKHeX, you may need to also install ".NET 9.0 Runtime" by microsoft. https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/9.0 Obviously, you'll also need both the melonDS and Dolphin emulators. When you play on melonDS and save in a game, it'll automatically create a ".sav" save file. This will usually be in the folder that has the game's rom. When you save in Pokemon Battle Revolution, it'll create a "PbrSaveData" save file. On the Dolphin's game list, you can right click on Pokemon Battle Revolution and go to Open Wii Save Folder. In the GeniusPbr folder, you will find the PbrSaveData. Before editting anything, it's a good idea to make backup copies of your ".sav" DS save file and "PbrSaveData" save file. In case anything goes wrong, you'll still have your backup save files in case you need them. Anyways, open up 2 windows of PKHeX. You will drag the DS ".sav" file into the first window. And then drag the PbrSaveData into the other window. In the window with PbrSaveData, you go to SAV > Block Data and it'll give you a list of stuff. The two things you need to change are... DisplaySID DisplayTID ...because the wii game won't allow you to use the in-game storage or create custom passes until you give it an SID and TID. If you go to the window with your ".sav" file, you can use your own SID and TID by going to SAV > Trainer Info. Then you just copy and paste those numbers into the DisplaySID and DisplayTID fields. (I think you only need do this whole "SID/TID" thing just once and then you're good.) Now that you have access to the storage boxes in Pokemon Battle Revolution, you can drag and drop as many pokemons as you want from one window into the other. Then once you're done, you can go to File > Export SAV so you can overwrite the PbrSaveData with all the new changes you made. You can now create Custom Passes and play this wii game with pokemon you caught on melonDS. --- (While recording this, I ran into an issue where I couldn't drag the PbrSaveData file into PKHeX because it was "unsupported". Then the problem suddenly fixed itself somehow. I still dunno how or why, but I'll try to figure out this mystery.) |

Thanks for that. Though I thought it was a way to connect melonDS to Dolphin without the editing sav file work around when I read the title. |
