This isn't the first time it happens but melonDS would run in the background with unusually high CPU usage when it isn't even opened. It would suddenly open out of nowhere and then hog up CPU usage. Not sure if the downloads are potentially infected or if it's something on my system, but some answers would be appreciated. It's very annoying as it slows down the system but I can't figure out what causes it. I tried to compare it with the package off the official melonDS site, and they're identical. So I don't think the executable was modified. Cheers |

So you start your computer and melonDS runs with high cpu usage despite you not having opened it? ____________________ Take me to your heart / never let me go! "clearly you need to mow more lawns and buy a better pc" - Hydr8gon |

Yeah, I don't even open it sometimes even past a reboot and this happens. |

either you're putting your computer to sleep/hibernate instead of turning it off proper, or melonDS somehow made it into the startup folder
that's the possibilities I can think of ____________________ Kuribo64 |

Alright after some more inspection, yeah, it's definitely continuing to run in the background after I close it. So that's also another issue. Shortly after closing it maxes out my CPU and runs hidden. |

Same thing has happened to me multiple times
I closed melonDS then checked task manager to see if it actually closed and it had but somehow a few hours later it opened again and occupied quite a bit of my cpu I have downloaded the emulator from this site |

Yeah same, I got it from the official download page. Not sure if it's hacked or if it's just an emulator bug. |
