I've been both searching for info if melonDS can connect with a DS and testing to see if it will work and I'm not sure if it's not possible or if I'm missing something. Any information would be helpful. Thanks |

Ah, that's too bad. Are there any plans for this in the future or is it not possible? |

I want to attempt it but not in the immediate future
but it would require specific wifi hardware and might not work at all due to how tight MP timing is ____________________ Kuribo64 |

If you figure out how NWFC works with MelonDS you could trade/battle over WiFi. |

I have tested the Pokemon Classic Network yesterday.
Go to their website and change the primary DNS on your physical Nintendo DS/DSi/3DS with the one provided on the website. This also works for MelonDS, but you need a game which can change the WIFI configuration settings. I used Pokemon White for this, but every online capable game is able to do this. |

Did you get MelonDS to connect ? The Pokemon Classic Network lists 178.62.43.212 as a working DNS, but I can't seem to connect. I also tried altwfc servers to no avail. I'm using a laptop, ethernet plugged in, have npcap and checked the box on direct on wifi settings. Anything I'm doing wrong? |

Posted by kirk1028 realy i tested it and you need a wifi patched rom. Search and download WfcPatcher on your pc. Then patch your rom and you are ready to go online! Sorry if i said something wrong English is not my first language |

Posted by SamAlexandros The easiest method of getting an NDS system online is through Wiimmfi. I've embedded a video by MrBean35000VR below which goes over setting up, as well as connecting to and playing on Wiimmfi. YouTube. If looked into Wiimmfi patchers for DS and none seem to exist. This is as far as I'm concerned the only way to get your Nintendo DS games on Wiimmfi. Other DNS reroutes exist. Services like AltWFC and the previously mentioned Pokémon Classic network are also very viable methods. But be aware that both systems need to be connected to the same DNS in order for them to be able to find each other. This includes emulated systems. I do not recommend patching your game however. You will need to back up your ROM Image if you do. ========================== |

Patching won't work anyway - he wanted to trade between the emulator and a real console, and you can't patch real gamepaks. |

Posted by keisui you can, use WFC as said above. ____________________
How to write an emulator
1. throw code to be emulated somewhere 2. make memory system that allows accessing that code 3. emulate CPU 4. have fun implementing all the other hardware -- Arisotura, Tuesday 5th January 2021, 22:00:17 |

Posted by Rayyan Like I said. You can patch the rom image to work on MelonDS to connect to Wiimmfi. This will allow to to connect a physical DS to the same online service to MelonDS. ========================== |
