Before anything of this happened i used this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK4UrKWcFNM

i tried to go and play Mario kart DS WFC match but it said
"Nintendo WFC service for this software has been halted."
then error code 20110

is some thing happening here? is there something i can do?

Try 167.285.229.36 as the primary DNS, then 1.1.1.1 as the secondary DNS. Hope this helps! :)

Maybe try turning off VPN connection (if you have VPN on)? Turning the VPN off may work for online gameplay... Hope this helps!

I have an idea. On melonDS, Open MARIO KART DS and go to NINTENDO WFC, then tap NINTENDO WFC SETTINGS, then tap Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings, then try deleting all connections 1, 2, 3 (Don't choose Erase Nintendo WFC Configuration UNLESS you get error 60000), then choose one of these connections, then choose Manual Setup. On SSID, tap Edit button, then type "melonAP" (NO QUOTES!) and tap OK, then tap OK again if it asks "Are these settings correct?". On WEP Key, leave it blank. On Auto-obtain IP Address, leave it on Yes. On Auto-obtain DNS, tap No, then on Primary DNS tap Edit, and type 167.235.229.36 then tap OK, then tap OK again if it asks "Are these settings correct?", and then on Secondary DNS type 1.1.1.1 then tap OK, then tap OK again if it asks "Are these settings correct?". Optionally, tap Test Connection to see if it's working. Finally, tap Save Settings. Once you save settings, tap Back, and Back again to return to Mario Kart DS WFC, then tap NINTENDO WFC MATCH, then if it ask you to "Connect to Nintendo WFC?", tap YES. Whether you get an error 20110 or not, please tell me and let me know. Hope this helps alot! :)

One more thing, if it still doesn't work for you, try using latest stable version of melonDS (aka melonDS 0.9.5) then following my instructions above again.

Hi. Wiimmfi is working fine for me, but a friend of mine is having trouble connecting, getting the same error that "Nintendo WFC service for this software has been halted".

We've tried 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 (latter working for me) and while the connection is successful for both of us, my friend cannot access WFC. We're both using the indirect libslirp method and the same settings.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! We've exhausted a ton of solutions and nothing has worked. The only primary that works for me is 167.235.229.36 for now.

Thank you!

well 8.8.8.8 is just Google's regular DNS server, so you end up at Nintendo's defunct wifi server.

Interesting. So by using 8.8.8.8 for my secondary DNS, it redirects to Nintendo's wifi server and yet still somehow works with wiimmfi? I don't quite understand what is happening, my online gameplay works decently and my emulator shows up in the roster https://wiimmfi.de/stats/game/mariokartds. My friend, on the other hand, hasn't found a single way to access this server through the game.

0.0.0.0 gave errors, despite some YouTube tutorials suggesting its use. Are there any files we need to upload to figure out the problem?

Thanks!

I believe it's 1.1.1.1 as secondary DNS, so it is possible. Also try 167.235.229.36 as Primary DNS.
