Hi I'm Tithanares. I would like to play DQ IX with friends but I have some small difficulties. If I go to the inn to start the coop in the classic way, it can't find my friends even if we use Hamachi. If instead I go to the emulator settings, and go to the "Multiplayer" section and "Launch a new instance" I can play in coop but with an instance created by myself and not with my friends. I also tried to launch MelonDS with Sandoboxie, but even then I can't start the coop mode, so this means that the problem is neither the IP address nor the MAC address. Using Sandboxie I went to "WiFi settings" and I used "Direct mode settings" both with Hamachi and with Ethernet but there is no way except the Multiplayer section included in the emulator, only in this way I can play in coop only between me and me. How come if I use the Multiplayer section I can start a connection with another instance created by me, while if I want to play with my friends I can't in any way?

Thanks to all who will answer me.

I also want to say that MelonDS is the best DS emulator, so in any case I always hope for the support of the developers. A hug.

local multiplayer does only work on one computer.

And in the future, will there be the possibility of playing co-op via the internet?

Thank you, I hope it arrives as soon as possible. I want to clarify that you have already done an excellent job, a hug as always.

You can use Parsec to have friends play on locally hosted instances. I've done it and it works well. Though, performance may vary.
