So I'm using MelonDS for a while to play regular games like Pokemon and it works great, almost flawlessly, but there's an issue with screen rotation and the "mouse" input on the screen.
In Hotel Dusk we need to turn the screen 270 degrees to keep it in book mode, but then the input mouse disappears and doesn't work at all until it's back to 0 degrees, is there a work around this? Playing on Switch standalone app

this is a known issue, I have it fixed already, though it's not in the last release.

Oh great, glad to know it's fixed already, I'll wait for the next releases then. Thank you so much for your work!

Hi, when will the latest release be with the rotate screen/pointer fix? Would like to play Hotel Dusk/Last Window again on the Switch

Figured out a hacky way to play Hotel Dusk with melonDS standalone for switch:

  1. enable Jit recompiler

  2. in Input settings, set Cursor mode to Motion controls

  3. in Display settings, set Global rotation to 270

  4. tilt right-joycon sideways (railtrack pointing downwards)

  5. press ZL to calibrate the position the cursor.

  6. hold right-joycon normally again (thumbstick pointing upwards): the onscreen cursor should be oriented properly with right-joycon's movements.

works great with switch docked.

no fast forward when using motion controls though, since ZL is now used to recalibrate.

is there a way to remap the fast forward to the L3 button in the melonDS.ini config?
