---Context---
About a year ago I made a post with the same intentions, to be clear- that method no longer works. Patching the ROM would lead to error code: 52100. According to what I've read this is due to the DDoS attacks Wiimmfi suffered from a while ago, so they've made some changes that affects the patched ROMs' connection. But in the current build of melonDS, you should be able to access WFC just fine without needing to patch your ROM (given that it's an unmodified ROM and you have melonDS set up properly), but to those like myself who're still struggling with it, here's my personal fix.

Note:
-> May not work for everyone.
-> This issue stems from your personal ISP denying access to Wiimmfi's DNS servers. What this fix does is running a local server on your computer.

---Tutorial---
1. Download the latest version of the RiiConnect24 DNS Server here
2. Run the .exe
3. Now enter the first custom DNS into your Nintendo WFC settings in both primary and secondary DNS.

This is an example, yours will be different

4. Test the connection both in the Nintendo WFC settings and with any in-game interaction that requires Wi-Fi, you can never be too sure.

Note:
-> The .exe needs to be kept open at all times whenever you want to use Wi-Fi
-> This should be obvious but have melonDS set up perfectly, and use unmodified ROMs. If you have trouble finding any, PM me on Discord (Cloutan#1845).
