I'm emulating Pokemon Heartgold and trying to use fast forward to speed up grinding but this weird error is giving me trouble, the controls and touch screen become irresponsive during fast-forward and stay irresponsive for a period of time after, details:

-In the overworld fast-forward framerate is around 100/60, controls are fully responsive
-During battles fast-forward framerate jumps to around 250/60, controls and touch screen become irresponsive
-Toggling fast-forward off makes the framerate slowly lower back to 60
-Controls remain irresponsive until the framerate normalizes, which takes longer the longer fast-forward was active, up to around 10 seconds.

Any advice?

hmm this may be a game specific bug , does it happen with any other games ¿

known issue, it's an issue due to how the main thread and the emu thread fight for resources. The solution would probably stop trying to display some frames when fast forwarding above a certain speed.

Can't say, it's the first and only title I've tried emulating.

Good to know that it's a know issue. So something like setting a cap to the fast-forward speed would help? That'd be nice, regular fast-forward feels a bit to fast for me, being able to slow it down could make it feel a lot more natural.
