This happens with both current release 0.6b (from the front page of this site) and when compiled from Git. I haven't tested earlier versions.
I'm running Arch Linux, XFCE desktop... and the only special thing I can think of which might be related is that my system is in Japanese, and has fcitx-kkc to go with. However, even without having fcitx active, I get the same result. This happens the same regardless of whether I've started a ROM yet or not. ROMs themselves and the other settings menus all appear to work fine. |

I could reproduce this on Arch (in Danish) as well, it would freeze and crash when trying to assign a controller button or just messing with the input dialog too much. But right now it doesn't seem to happen for me.
