Nadia, I was unable to compile melonDS by following these instctions.
Attempting to run "LDFLAGS=/usr/local/opt/gettext/lib CFLAGS=-I/usr/local/opt/gettext/include cmake .. -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release - Then make -j5" results in the following error message: 'The C compiler "/Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/usr/bin/cc" is not able to compile a simple test program.' Examining the error log reveals the following error message: 'ld: can't map file, errno=22 file '/usr/local/opt/gettext/lib' for architecture x86_64' I am not familiar with C and do not know which changes need to be made to the source code to fix this issue. |

OK, I sucessfully compiled melonDS with the following command: LDFLAGS=-L/usr/local/opt/gettext/lib LDFLAGS=-L/usr/local/opt/gettext/lib cmake .. -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release
However, now it's claiming I don't have any BIOS files. I already dumped the BIOS and firmware, they run just fine on the Windows version of melonDS, yet the Mac version refuses to recognise them. They are named correctly (bios7.bin, bios9.bin and firmware.bin) so I don't know why melonDS can't detect them. They are in the same directory that I compiled melonDS in. Well, it was worth a try. |

I am running it from Finder because I don't know the command prompt syntax to open ROMs. I'll Google it and see what I can find. |

I've had a similar problem with melonDS claiming my BIOS files are missing when running it from the command line. It appears that the BIOS file check is integrated with the GUI in some way, and if it's launched in a unconventional manner then the check always fails. |

Now that GX timings are finished, how is progress on CPU/memory timings going? DeSmuME can run many of these games properly as long as the JIT block size is no greater than 12, but I have no idea if it's really accurate or not. |

Hi, I decided I didn't want to host the download anymore for security reasons. Unfortunately I can't delete my thread, so it will remain as it is. |

I can't compile the latest builds of melonDS anyway. All I know is that I get the error 'melonds/src/libui_sdl/DlgInputConfig.cpp:23:10: fatal error: 'SDL2/SDL.h' file not found' despite having SDL2 installed via homebrew.
I can find SDL.h, but I have no idea how to point to it. It's at /usr/local/Cellar/SDL2/2.0.8/include/sdl2/SDL/h. If CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH is pointing to somewhere like '/usr/include/sdl/SDL.h' then perhaps that might be the problem? |

Might a cached interpreter help? Dolphin and PPSSPP have this option for platforms that don't support dynarecs. |

DeSmuME can export .sav files natively by selecting "Export Backup Memory" from the File menu while a game is running. Unfortunately, DeSmuME often creates the wrong file size and it can't be read in melonDS. Out of the four ROMs I exported .sav files from, only two could be successfully imported into melonDS.
That said, try exporting a .sav file from Kingdom Hearts re:Coded using DeSmuME and see if it works. |

You don't think OpenGL ES 3.2 is good enough for melonDS? It's pretty fast on Snapdragon devices, it's just Mali that it really runs like crap on. |

Attempting to run melonDS with all the recommended dependencies installed gives me this error:
Dyld Error Message: Library not loaded: /usr/local/opt/qt/lib/QtWidgets.framework/Versions/5/QtWidgets Referenced from: /Applications/melonDS/melonDS.app/Contents/MacOS/melonDS Reason: image not found I definitely have QT5 installed, but melonDS is looking in the wrong place for it. How do I correct this error? |
