When I made this, I was thinking about how if you turn the melonDS logo upright, it could work as a macOS 11 Big Sur icon. So, I made my own imitation of the melonDS logo and Big Sur's design language to make this:

I made it using Inkscape. It's not a legendary icon for the ages, but I wanted to give it texture and make it colorful, so that when you see it, it 1) looks like a Big Sur app, and 2) makes you think about the fun you may or may not have with it.

You may judge it here. I'd be amazed it if the devs maybe stole it from me :3 considered it seriously. If it doesn't fit the intended aesthetic, or if it seems petty (which it probably might seem), I get that.

EDIT: I also tested it out by actually changing melonDS's icon on my Mac, if you want to see what it looks like on the Dock, I can post screenshots. (I went all out for this....)

It's using a modified version of acmlmboard 2, a lightweight message board software from the 2000s.

Woah, it's like 15-16 years old. Cool :D
You think this could work on the DS Browser? Mac Activity Monitor says this website is using 132MB, but maybe because the DS Browser is much smaller, it might work.

EDIT: wait, it says how much memory is being used at the bottom of the page. If it's only using 2MB, it could definitely work.

Ohh, okay then, I guess it wouldn't work very well on the DS browser then...

Kind of interesting how much memory each browser gets:
- DS Browser > 12MB (DS memory + 8MB)
- DSi Browser > 16MB (DSi memory)
- Internet Channel > 24MB (Wii memory)

I could try loading this forum with the Internet Channel on Dolphin, might be interesting.

EDIT: Yesterday I tried it, and it worked wonderfully :) Just that the text was super tiny

The process of trading is the same no matter which emulator you use. There might be different emulator settings, but after setting the emulator itself up for Internet access, all you have to do is boot the game, go to Nintendo WFC Settings, and set the DNS to that of Wiimmfi. Then you can do whatever process SoulSilver has for online play! It's pretty cool ;)

..........

Go here: https://wiimmfi.de
Revival service, just enter a DNS in settings. It would be a good idea to check for videos and resources before posing a question, though I'm glad you were able to figure out how to connect melonDS to the Internet on your own! :D

Making the logo diagonal would break the macOS HIG by making the icon look out-of-place, bu'yeah!

Just discovered this existed from TechLinked, and I quickly found a related MacRumors article.

If melonDS could potentially be sideloaded in 2 years, how would that work out? Just an open-ended question, wondering what opinions anyone has on this.
