apparently that's the error code indicating that the official Nintendo servers have been shutdown. Did you already try alternative wifi servers?

and it yielded the same error code?

for online play:
try the indirect mode it should be less of a hassle (also if you're connect via wifi to the internet direct mode doesn't even work at all).
since the official servers have been shutdown you need to connect to an inofficial one like this one: https://pkmnclassic.net/ by changing the DNS server in the wifi setup

for local multiplayer:
you need to enable MAC randomisation and disable the framelimiter and audio sync
local wireless emulation isn't stable yet, so expect connection errors. If one occurs try again.

WarioWare DIY uses a special kind of cartridge which currently isn't supported by melonDS

desmume should support saving with this game, though it could be possible that it doesn't work with the libretro core

I hope you don't mean melonDS 0.4 and 0.7.4, because those versions are ancient :)

if the firmware menu doesn't boot it can be due to you using a hacked firmware dump which bricks once a game saves wifi settings

from a user standpoint something like this would definitely be very useful. From a technical standpoint melonDS works pretty different, because we do a lot more of LLE emulation compared to Citra. They "only" emulate the games themselves while the OS itself is completely recreated from their side (hence why it can play games without the need for full NAND dumps). So we'll see.

WaluigiWare64 added fullscreen support not too long ago, but after the last release. Can you try to build melonDS from source or download build of the master branch from our CI (https://github.com/Arisotura/melonDS/runs/1190325642 in the upper left corner under artefacts. Downloading requires a Github account)? To enable fullscreen you need to open the input settings and assign the appropriate hotkey.

it's very likely not related, the battle transition is a known bug likely due to bad arm9 timing.

Can you describe the crashes? Does the application crash (such that the message "An error occured..." is displayed) or does the game just gets stuck (but you can still exit the emulator)? Also make sure that you're using the latest version (release 4). The only supported way of running melonDS is Atmosphere with title injection (i.e. not via the album).

can you look whether you can find a crash log for one of those crashes inside the /atmosphere/crash_reports (I forgot how the exact name was) folder?

I don't know if it's too early for a feature like this to be implemented when other basic features probably take priority, but one thing many people, including myself, have wished for in the past is the ability to dump and re-import textures with higher resolutions. Other emulators like PPSSPP, Citra, and Dolphin include this feature. This would enable 3D games already running in HD to look even more beautiful.

texture replacement is already half implement on the texture cache branch. What's still missing is that the textures need to be hashed and replace through ones loaded from files instead of being upscaled. Though I plan to rewrite the entire thing for a few reasons.

You're right about local wifi being an issue and I can understand that. However, it's reasonable to suspect that most people will be in range of an AP. A friend sent me this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdWCH-3iPlE which includes a lot of information regarding this process in the description for anyone else who would like to try.

can you please tell your friend not to bundle melonDS in dubious rar files and instead link to our download page where users can download the latest release?

hello there i seem to be having a problem and my problem is that seems to be my connection setup because for some reason i keep getting error code 52000 if anyone could help me i would appreciate it

is it possible that you're using either an old version and/or that you're using Direct Mode while you're connected to the internet via wifi?

did you try the indirect mode, it should work out of the box? Direct mode isn't recommended anymore.
