Are you starting melonDS from Finder? It seems like it doesn't run programs from the current directory, so melonDS won't look in the correct place for them.
cd to the directory in the terminal and run it from there, then it should work. |

While in the build directory, ./melonDS /path/to/rom/file
You can also just omit the ROM path and load it from the file menu in the emulator. |

I can run everything at 60FPS in melonDS with an i7-2600K and my laptop's Cortex-A72/A53s, so that CPU should run it just fine too. GPU basically doesn't matter, anything that supports OpenGL 3.1 will do, but even if it doesn't you can still use the software renderer. |

Doesn't seem like it would be an issue related to any of that. Looks like it might be complaining because it's built against a different version of GTK than you have, or something like that.
Try following the Linux build instructions in the readme, and see if the resulting binary runs. |

If you want the cheat support now, pull requests are welcome! |

Then you'll have to wait until the new UI is done and an interface for cheats is added to it. There's no ETA for when that'll be. |

For the DSi firmware/system you will need to dump it from an actual DSi. The DS-mode BIOSes from a 3DS will work though, but the firmware dump is not bootable so you must have direct boot enabled. |

Also, what version of the ROM are you using? |

Dumping the DS-mode BIOSes and firmware barely takes a second. The resulting BIOS files are usable, but the firmware is not so you must have "boot game directly" enabled and melonDS set to DS mode. |

If you're starting it through twilightmenu, press Y on the ROM and turn direct boot off. |

Sure I'll do Danish. You probably know the answer to all three of those already though. |

Alternatively here are some pre-made empty images in 128M, 256M, 1G and 2G, just extract the one you want from the zip and its size is inflated to what it says. |

If you have flatpak installed, you can install melonDS like flatpak install net.kuribo64.melonDS . This way you also get updates when a new version is released. |

Well you must use the BIOS/firmware for the emulator to work and the only legitimate way to get it is to dump it from a console, we can't help you get it otherwise. |

You need to have libslirp and its development headers installed. |

You'll either need to build libslirp yourself (and install to /usr/local or whatever), or you can install melonDS as a flatpak. |

Well then build or package libslirp, it's required for melonDS. |
