Just found this site from Vimm's Lair, and wanted to see how this emulator compares to DsMuMe, which I've used in the past. Whenever I load up a rom on melonDS, I get the message DS ARM9 BIOS not found. How do I fix this?
I'm trying to run Pokemon HeartGold if that helps. ____________________ <-Nine years of development |

Posted by WaluigiWare64 Thanks for the reply, downloading the files and configuring them in the menu solved my issue, and my tested games (Pokemon Platnium, Pokemon HeartGold) run much better than on DsMuMe! ____________________ <-Nine years of development |

Whats up with how fast this site loads? Compared 4chan and reddit, and even other small forums, this site loads at least 4-5 seconds faster for me ____________________ <-Nine years of development |

Not trying to downplay the usefulness of the request, but what would adding a separate folder improve? If you're saving/loading states from inside melonDS you'll never have to look inside the ROMS folder when loading states
Edit: This is post #666. Spooky. ____________________ <-Nine years of development |

Are you trying to force an event encounter? If that's the case then you're probably going to need a key item made specifically for the event.
I've tested other kinds of AR codes out on DPPt and it works for me, so maybe you just used the wrong code. Also, most codes trigger when pressing L and R and the same time if that helps. ____________________ <-Nine years of development |

How does it work? Can I min-max my stats? Does it scale with my board rank? ____________________ <-Nine years of development |

9.5/10, it looks super clean!
Just make the logo diagonal again and that's easily a 10/10 from me ____________________ <-Nine years of development |

While I don't do much trading myself, getting trade-evolved pokemon legitimately on an emulator can be a real pain. Would you mind making a Youtube tutorial explaining how to set it up?
Also, were both or one of you running melonDS? ____________________ <-Nine years of development |

You have to manually setup your cheat codes, melonDS doesn't come with the cheat codes. You can find them online, a good source is SuperCheats, link: https://www.supercheats.com/nintendods.htm
If you want I can post screenshots on how to set up a cheat code for pokemon, which is probably what you're playing anyway. Word of advice though, don't cheat unless you already beat the game twice, its a lot more fun that way ____________________ <-Nine years of development |

Actually, that seems like a legit reason to separate the 2 into different folders. I haven't tried it, but assuming savestates and saves don't depend on each other, it seems doable. ____________________ <-Nine years of development |

Can you send a screenshot of your bios files and frozen game? It would be a lot clearer

What games are you playing right now?
The only Nintendo consoles I owned were the Wii and DS, with the former being broken by my younger brother, and the latter also being broken by my younger brother. It still had the files I wanted though, which is nice. Nowadays I mostly switch between playing Fallout: New Vegas and Team Fortress 2. ____________________ <-Nine years of development |

I've been using melonDS for a few months now, and while I'm ok with the low framerate (my laptops pretty slow), the scratchy and out of sync audio is definitely a big problem with using melonDS.
I've tried turning on the frame limiter, enabling audio sync, and both at the same time, but I still get choppy audio quality. I believe it's tied to the framerate, since when my frames are in the 50's the audio sounds good. I've tested this with Pokemon Platinum, New Super Mario Bros, Ace Attorney: Investigations, and Chrono Trigger. Any help would be appreciated! ____________________ <-Nine years of development |
