This fix seems to apply to Windows 8.1 as well. I had Breakpoint Exceptions on bootup for the past month when new revisions were being put out.

Hey, guys, this is PeeJay Bonobo from YouTube/Twitch/Smashcast/the Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed community, and I'm here to monitor the progress of melonDS. You may not see me post much.

I don't know, man. I'm using a desktop PC with Evolve and Hamachi installed, and I'm runnning Ethernet, and I'm currently searching for games on Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing right now, through MelonDS.

So far, I haven't found anyone on AltWFC, but I can say ClIRC is working without issue.

I do have a couple of games we can playtest (MKDS, S&SASR), if you want.

None that I know of, but if you want to add me directly on Discord, do a search on "PJB#9437"

One thing that can certainly improve the emulator, as an optinal feature is make it able to redirect to altwfc without needing any rom patch/cheat code.

Kinda pointless since Wiimmfi now supports some DS games.

I tried Setya's and older melonDS versions deemed it a modified dump. This was not the case for Bill Nye's, however.

I would say something about DeSmuME's garbage method of storing firmware info, but I don't think it's anything like that.

Also, older melonDS versions automatically ran with a console window that would tell you if a dump is a bad or good one, though if I wanted to, I could
a. recompile in RelWithDebInfo mode
b. open Powershell and get it to open and log stuff to a file
to get the same effect with the current versions.

also, curious, what's wrong with the way desmume stores firmware info?

What it basically does is copy the firmware info into its own file, which works differently from the firmware.bin we all know of, and, even though it sometimes does a very bad job at it, loads the firmware information from that file. Said file needed to be 100% intact for the older Wi-Fi builds of DeSmuME to work.

Well you still could use a tool called DSATM until cheats will be in melonDS officially.

DSATM has worked for me. Also, I'm using a melonDS build straight from the Master branch builds that has working (AFAICT) Action Replay code support.

another thing I here all the time:
an option for saves and savestates to land in different directories then the roms

YES! ALL MY YES!

Also, from off the top of my head:
1. Separate screens
2. The ability to stretch/flatten screens out of the original aspect ratio (for widescreen hacks)

That's about it. I'll update this post if there's anything new.

You should be able to transfer regular save files in .sav format or whatever DraStic does (probably .sav, I have it, but I never checked), but not emulator save states.
