Hydr8gon: maybe you're just a derp :P

also

amusing that this board works nearly perfectly under that antique browser. the homepage does work but gives a 'low on memory' warning...

anything ever so slightly Hipsterweb-y will shit itself, mostly because it doesn't recognize the modern TLS certificates.

I wonder how much of a difference the JIT would make there. no doubt that the browser is CPU intensive.

Generic: nah, I removed those

Hydr8gon: thanks :P

also, fun technical side notes:

* this is running entirely on the new libslirp interface. no libpcap.

* it's not quite there yet. I resorted to a bit of a hack to make it work; have yet to find out how to do it right.

you need to save in-game, not by using the savestate feature.

issue is that the vertices given by the game are slightly inaccurate, but the way the DS GPU determines polygon borders makes up for it. basically, I don't recall the details, but given two points forming a perfectly vertical line, you can move one of the points one pixel on one side and the polygon border is still the same.

working around this in the GL renderer should be easy enough, but I'd need to research this effect more.

oops! I missed that post, thanks for letting me know. but, holy shit, that person has no life. (also, ironically, I didn't even get my dick chopped off, but they're gonna be stupid either way, so uh)

the base idea behind guest posts was that people could easily come in and post comments, which they might not bother posting if they had to register. that being said, allowing people to also have an account would be useful for securing your name (as it prevents using the name of an existing account).

linking them to board accounts would be the way to go, too. I could do it manually for the few accounts already involved. would have to move a few things around tho, the blog and the board are using different databases.

this seems to be another 'GPU is on LSD' type issue, where shit magically gets corrupted between rendering passes. we'll need a OpenGL expert there.

maybe, if someone has the hardware and software required to pull this off. I'm not buying any sort of iPhone.

>Objective-C

no bonus for having to use some hipster language instead of something competent like C++

I can see IP addresses, so I can tell which ones are real, but... yeah. 'd rather not deal with that kind of shit.

o

I stand corrected

still, welp. melonDS is written in sorta-C++ and that ain't gonna change now.

the blog already does that, but it only checks blog accounts. dunno if I can quickly make it check board accounts, it might not have permission to do so.

in the meantime: you need to run melonDS with root privileges for libpcap to work. it also won't work if your computer is connected via wifi.

that's interesting, gonna check it out real quick

EDIT- quickly tried on DeSmuME and didn't get any error. maybe your save file is bad?
