I can change your name there so you have the same one everywhere, but please decide on a name and don't change constantly.

Thanks, but I'd rather give it a few weeks or so because as you know I seem to change it a lot, just so that I'm sure I want to stick with the name. However it is the name I'll probably use in real life so it shouldn't matter, lol.

hello !
I'm here because I would love to understand the work you are doing by creating an emulator. I am a hard novice about all does things, I'd like to help you as much as I can but I am not really documented in the subject.
If you have some tutorial to make me learn so I can help or stuff to test and make some report, I am interested ^^.
For now I am learning c++ (I am more looking after the differences between python and c++ than really learn it) and making test whit the melonds multiplayer system.

welcome aboard :P

you mean, you'd like to understand how emulators work inside?

I'd like to know that too actually. I use them on a daily basis but never understood how they work.

Thank you StapleButter !
Yes, from what I understood emulation is to make the bios use some virtual elements mounted by a program.
Also if I guessed right the bios is compiled and can't be read so emulaters have to input some datas and try to understand outputs.
But I am maybe totaly wrong X)

Emulation basically is like an interpreter? I'm not sure what else to say haha, I'm clueless.

Oh, and this is Jamie from Kafuka. I'm not sure why I reregistered here at all... nevertheless it might teach me things! ^^

more like running software made for one platform on another platform. in the case of the DS, the game (or firmware) and the BIOS form the software stack.

said software stack is made for the DS, and we're running it on another platform, by essentially replicating what the DS would do when running it.

and actually, the BIOS (or any software for the DS) can be disassembled. it's not as straightforward as having the source code, but you can still figure out what the program does.

Hi, mcninjalo here. I enjoy emulators and this one looks promising. I'm currently running a pretty old laptop so I'm limited on what I can run but I love playing around. Looking forward to watching this develop.

Hi, I'm a Java developer who recently stumbled upon the NDS Homebrew community. Excited to see how this project progresses!

I'm just happy to use something that isn't DeSmuME

Hello fellow weirdos. I'm Benguin,

I'm and artist, content creator, and singer. I've been gaming my whole life and emulation has been a big importance to me as well. Also I'm ready for something other then DesMuMe.

welcome aboard!

I recommend you make a thread to ask about that error, though; this thread isn't going to be the best place for this

Name's V1ral! I'd been using DeSmuME for a while before being recommended this project, and it's just... far better to use. Configuration stuff is less confusing for me, it's much faster to initially set up, and the wifi features should really open up options for my friends and I to have other games to play over the 'net. I'll be glad to see how this project grows in the future! :D
