I'm having trouble connecting with indirect mode enabled.
I installed npcap in winpcap compatible mode but with my wifi adapter it didnt work.
I moved on to using indirect mode and it worked for the initial connection, but whenever I try joining the wiimmfi dns it gives me the 52100-1 error.
I'm using windows 10 latest edition with the latest melonDS version.

(As a side note, this may just be school wifi shenanigans. I'll try to test wiimmfi connection at home, and will report back with the results.)

52100 means the game can't connect using the DNS you provided.
To connect to Wiimmfi you need to patch your ROMs with a patcher. Are your ROMs patched?

You don't need to patch the ROM if you use the DNS exploit.

Absolutely this. That error after setting DNS usually means he was using the older exploit, and for that you need patching.

So to connect to wiimfi for my online-enabled games, what dns do I need to connect to?

Look at the link in my previous post, it contains a guide.

Just an update on this thread, I can confirm that it was a school wifi problem.
