I've been using melonDS for a few months now, and while I'm ok with the low framerate (my laptops pretty slow), the scratchy and out of sync audio is definitely a big problem with using melonDS.
I've tried turning on the frame limiter, enabling audio sync, and both at the same time, but I still get choppy audio quality. I believe it's tied to the framerate, since when my frames are in the 50's the audio sounds good. I've tested this with Pokemon Platinum, New Super Mario Bros, Ace Attorney: Investigations, and Chrono Trigger. Any help would be appreciated! ____________________ <-Nine years of development |

if the emulation isn't running at fullspeed (60 fps) there will be short pauses in the audio hence the crackling. Do you have the JIT recompiler enabled that should help with performance? ____________________ Take me to your heart / never let me go! as Generic said -- audio generation in melonDS is synchronous to the emulation, so if it's not running fullspeed, the buffer underruns will result in shitty audio quality
the only non-shitty option to avoid that would be implement timestretching. I hope it can be done without introducing a shitton of latency. ____________________ Kuribo64 |

Sorry for the late reply, but yeah I'm running with the JIT compiler enabled. I guess theres no fix for my shitty laptop lmao.
