I don't know if this the right place to report issues, I'm sorry if I'm making a mistake.

I'm using Ubuntu 20.04 and the latest version of MelonDS compiled from source.

Basically in Pallet Town you can talk to Daisy Oak and she will groom one Pokémon once daily between 3:01 and 4:00 PM.
If I change date of my computer (NOT from DS booting screen) I should be able to talk to her again, since the day is changed.
So after I talk to her, I save, I close MelonDS, I change date.
After rebooting, MelonDS detects my change, and displays the "modified" date in booting screen.
However, Daisy Oak will react as she has already groomed one of my Pokemon. Somehow, she "knows" that the date didn't change.
Weirdly this doesn't apply to hours. If I set, for example, 5:00 PM, she will detect the "modified" hour and answer accordingly.

Any suggestion?

Thank you for the reply.

I tested this with both, mac randomisation enabled and disabled.
I also tell you that grooming in Pallet town has nothing to do with wifi (as far as I know)

It's like MelonDS reads the actual date somewhere and ignores my changes, but only when it comes to some game functionalities. As I said, in booting screen MelonDS shows the "modified" date and time.

Nevermind, I tested this on a real DS and it just works this way. Sorry

it has. The mac address is used to check whether you're still playing on the same DS to prevent you from time travelling by putting your game card into a DS where the clock has been put a bit into the future. So a lot of time based events don't work as long as mac randomisation is enabled because it thinks you use another DS system every time you start the game.
