Currently it uses roms folder which very messy. Desume keeps everything separate with its own folders. Is it possible to make folders in the emulator folder itself and use it for saves.

Thank you

Not trying to downplay the usefulness of the request, but what would adding a separate folder improve? If you're saving/loading states from inside melonDS you'll never have to look inside the ROMS folder when loading states

Edit: This is post #666. Spooky.

Let's say you have different roms for different games. You also play on android. So you would need to transfer saves between here and there. I use MelonDS mainly for online connectivity.

Actually, that seems like a legit reason to separate the 2 into different folders. I haven't tried it, but assuming savestates and saves don't depend on each other, it seems doable.

3ds is for the most part a completely different system, so no.

Desmume, drastic, nds4doird etc all do this and it works very well.
Melonds uses vba's method of saving everything in rom's folder. It is not as organised.
