Playing through Pokémon White my FPS was mostly good but Pokémon White 2 my performance tanked. Looking for some advice to try and get a stable 60FPS so I can enjoy the game. Also I am pretty new to some computer stuff. I don't think my drivers are updated so I am going to attempt to update them when I get home today but until then some tips and advice would be much appreciated.

Enable JIT (max block size, all optimizations on), use threaded software rendering.

If you are using both Audio Sync and Framelimiter, turn Audio Sync off.

How to write an emulator
1. throw code to be emulated somewhere
2. make memory system that allows accessing that code
3. emulate CPU
4. have fun implementing all the other hardware

your computer might also just be slow. May I ask what kind of processor you have?

Well if you have a good enough GPU you could try OpenGL at 1x resolution.

He has an AMD GPU. With the quality of their current OpenGL drivers, software has good chances of being faster.

the OGL renderer is pretty useless at 1x because it's slower while also having worse compability

One of the big issues is double battles
