Hello. I'm wondering how to run the Linux 64-Bit file. I'm new to Linux and I'm using Debian 10. I've been having problems running it. When I attempted to run it the first time it said

"./melonDS: error while loading shared libraries: libslirp.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

After that, I installed libslirp0 and ran it again. After that it said

"./melonDS: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5.12' not found (required by ./melonDS)"

I don't know how to fix this. I've already installed libqt5core5a and still can't run it.

Which Qt version do you have installed? Which distro + version are you running?

Because to me this sounds a lot like https://github.com/Arisotura/melonDS/issues/751 .

I have libqt5core5a (5.11.3+dfsg1-1+deb10u4). My distro and version is Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster).

To install libslirp on Debian 10 you have to add the "buster-backports" repository to your sources.
After that, you can run:
sudo apt install libslirp0

You can install the latest melonDS version from Flathub.

Thank you. The Flathub version is a tad bit slower than I'd like but it works.
