I have a manaphy egg in a physical copy of Pokémon ranger that I want to send to an emulated game and then trade to a game on the ds to shiny hunt it. I saw somewhere that it’s possible to connect the two, but the post was vague and I have no idea how to actually do this. What do I need to do to connect them?

it's not possible to make a local wireless connection between a real DS and melonDS. Though you can dump your Pokemon Ranger save and transfer the egg from melonDS to melonDS

In this post they talk about changing the dns and using the Pokémon classic network to do it, but I don’t know how either of those two things work.

you can trade between Pokemon mainline games (both DS or emulator) via wifi

but the Manaphy egg needs to be transfered via local wireless

I exported my save of ranger and pulled it up on melonds along with diamond and it didn’t transfer, it just said there was no response on the ranger side, and that the connection to ranger was lost for diamond. How can I fix this?
