Hello again,
After I solved this issue I now get Error 52000 in melonds (and Desmume as well.) Here is what I did: - I uninstalled WinPcap4_1_3 because apparently this was the reason why I could not install npcap in win10 compability mode. (see other thread) - I installed npcap in Win 10 compability mode. - I ran melonDS and selected my (wired) Ethernet connection as network adapter - I tried to connect with melonDS access point (melonAP) - Changing DNS settings did not matter, I tried multiple adresses as well as AltWFC which worked before on Desmume. I don't think it is DNS related. I am still thinking something is not right with npcap because Desmume Wifi worked before I uninstalled WinPcap. Thank you very much for your help! |

i m getting the same eror in melon ds btw i dont have wifi or bluetooth in my computer only ethernet but not wifi ethernet

Hello there!
I solved the issue. The solution is kinda weird but somehow makes sense. To make things short the installer on this site which seems official does not work. I found another installer on youtube which has the version 0.996. It worked with that one. Strangely though, the installer on the official site is 0.9991 (which should be higher in version but won't work.) This is way better than Desmume I am really enjoying melonDS! Big thanks to all developers for this amazing project! |

Can confirm this. When i use Npcap 0.9991 i also get Error 52000, so i looked up Npcap 0.996, installed it and (after another Error 20110) it worked like a charm.
Tried it on: Windows 10 64-Bit Home, wired connection melonDS 0.8.3 Npcap 0.996 (don't forget to tick: "Install Npcap in WinPcap API-compatible Mode" during installation) melonDS Wifi-Setting: socket bound to "Ethernet" Set primary DNS to KaeruWFC, secondary DNS 001.001.001.001 |

Funny enough I managed to get this working as well although I used a different npcap, 0.99r7. Was going to post about it, but seems everyone got it working already o7. I have 2 Ethernet ports on my pc was hoping I could trade pokemon with myself via these 2 ports but it turns out I can't since they have the same mac address. I tried to use the mobile hotspot method there after and to no avail. The Local trading would simply not work for me. Although I did discover that my soulsilver rom would not work with WFC at all for whatever reason. But my Heartgold did. |
