I am almost about to give up, but I will give it one last try. I have a windows 10 laptop that isn't the most powerful, but it can run snes and gba emulation just fine.

I am attempting to run melonds, but for some reason it's telling me "BIOS/firmware can't be found" even though bios7, bios9, and firmware are in the same folder as melonds?

It may have to do with the properties, as I messed with both that and the normal renaming of files so that they both end in .bin

any help is much appreciated :)

seems you have Explorer set to hide file extensions. seeing as romlist.bin shows up as 'romlist', you might have named your BIOS files 'bios9.bin.bin' or 'bios9.bin.rom' or something in the like.

this is one of the reasons why the 'hide file extensions' thing is bad.

wow, thank you so much! I checked my file explorer options and sure enough, for some reason explorer had file extensions hidden.

executed melonds and it finally opens now, much thanks :D
