Are you running it on admin mode? And did you set a dns for both DS dns settings that uses an altWFC? Like zwei moe's dns or wimmfi's dns?

I think you don't use direct-mode.
Check if it's on Wi-Fi settings.
Your ISP/router blocks the DNS maybe.
You could also try excluding the secondary DNS because
It's just using a Google one lol.

It does not work for me. I enabled local bind setting, I have 2 melonds emulators playing the same DS game but with different save files, but I don't know how to connect them to each other.

Oh, and virtual wifi settings aren't available at all.

Hey
So I tried this a million times and it always gives me the 20110 error no matter what I do.
I run the emulator as admin, have ethernet connection, tried all the DNS' I could find and nothing works. I even tried to do everything exactly like on that video Sorer sent and when op can finally connect I still get the 20110 error. It's very frustrating, I just want to trade pokemon

Be sure you checked direct-mode and chose your ethernet adapter as in the video.
You could try putting the DNS in your router settings or in your IPv4 settings of the ethernet adapter on WIndows.
It could be that the PC/Router Is blocking the DNS.

Changed DNS in IPv4, still nothing.

This is just a clarification not an error so,

does 0.8.2 Wi-fi works with laptop? I tried using it but i get "error code 52000". Does 0.8.2 works only with Ethernet and not wi-fi / WLAN?

i tried using 0.7.3 and it works fine.

Did you selected the adapter you use to connect to the internet under wifi settings?

It only works with Ethernet for now by using npcap in winpcap compatible mode.
Unless you can bridge a virtual ethernet adapter and the wifi adatper (Not recommended tho).
Getting the wifi emulation to work on MelonDS is not trivial and many people have hurdles with it.

If either you can't use an ethernet adapter or really want to connect through wifi, you can use the microsoft loopback adapter. However, as stated above, it may not work as intended.

As I have said, I can get the Wi-Fi Emulation Wireless Adapter to work with my laptop using 0.7.3.
However, the latest version 0.8.2 only works with the Ethernet Adapter

I just wanted to clarify whether this is normal or not.
Does 0.8.2 only work using Ethernet Adapter or the Wiireless Adapter also works which would mean, the mistake is on me not on the emulator.

It's not that I want it to work. What I want is to know whether it actually works.

Anyway, it's been answered by Sorer

Weird , MelonDS 0.7.3 does not work with a wireless adapter either.
Unless you used indirect mode which also does not work good currently.

Yeah, direct mode was unticked when I tested it. I used an SSL-patched Pokemon Black Rom and tried to test nintend wfc connection and it said "Connection Succesful.".
I also had the DNS manually configured to connect to the public server.

I googled "melonDS wireless adapter wifi" and I found this https://github.com/Arisotura/melonDS/issues/381
One user provided a link to a build that resolves connection errors and that was the one I used that had wireless adapter working.

The test always work in indirect mode.
It's the game itself that will error out if you try to play with someone.

Yeah, I just tried the mystery gift with laptop (wireless adapter) and it didn't work. It worked however on my desktop.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to know. Everything is clarified now.

Thank you very much for the replies!

Hi. Has anyone tried local multiplayer in Rune Factory 3 (USA)?

I tried it by using 2 instance of melonDS, with different save file.
It can detect each other, but can't connect at all.
I uploaded the screenshots at https://imgur.com/a/QDOjziw
Thanks.

Note:
- I know that all wifi features are currently WIP, just want to know if anyone else tried this game.
- I tested it using melonDS 0.8.3 in Win10, Win7 and Ubuntu; and some previous version of melonDS.
- The online wifi feature work as intended using WinPcap and altwfc DNS (tested on Win7).

you can try turning off the framerate limiter, vsync and audio sync -- it might then be able to connect.

Thank you for your reply.
I have tried that, but still can't connect.
