I have a Chromebook that I am using as my emulation machine.
I was using Desmume, but I have been recommended to melonDS because it actually supports AR codes in the Linux version. I have installed melonDS through the Linux Terminal, but I am at a loss as to what I need to do from here. Does anyone have some basic ass step-by-step instructions for a Linux novice like myself? |

if you followed the build steps successfully there should be an executable file called melonDS in the build folder. To run it just type ./melonDS into the terminal. ____________________ Take me to your heart / never let me go! "clearly you need to mow more lawns and buy a better pc" - Hydr8gon |

I kind of had to piece together how to install it with Snapcraft and gimp.
Like I said, I'm a novice to this and need some pretty straightforward instructions on this. |

If your devices is supported you can install flatpak on Chrome OS. https://flatpak.org/setup/Chrome%20OS/ ____________________
How to write an emulator
1. throw code to be emulated somewhere 2. make memory system that allows accessing that code 3. emulate CPU 4. have fun implementing all the other hardware -- Arisotura, Tuesday 5th January 2021, 22:00:17 |
