To preface this, I know this is an incredibly niche issue, but I was wondering if anyone has any advice or if a way to fully disable mic access is in the works.
I think MelonDS may need some way to completely disable microphone use. I say this because it seems that, even with the microphone set to off in settings, it continues to access the mic (as shown in the windows taskbar), possibly causing conflicts with other mic-using programs. Two or three times now, I have been streaming, gone to play a DS game, and had my audio break, rendering my mic incredibly quiet in the ears of my listeners. To make things worse, the issue would persist across programs and system restarts until I fully reinstalled my microphone's drivers. Now I'm not fully sure if the issue is a conflict of microphone use, but given the circumstances, it's my best guess. What do you all think? (P.S. love MelonDS, keep up the good work Ari) |
