I set up MelonDS for DSi emulation using some of my own dumped files earlier today.
Everything appears to start up fine at first,

however, as soon as I try to progress past the boot screen, the emulation appears to hang on a white screen.

I have tried changing settings, but still get the same result every time.
Am I doing anything wrong?

Do you have unlaunch installed?

How to write an emulator
1. throw code to be emulated somewhere
2. make memory system that allows accessing that code
3. emulate CPU
4. have fun implementing all the other hardware

I did not.

I read that melonds can now boot unlaunch nands in 0.9.2, so I updated to see if I got different results. (spoiler alert: still won't boot into DSi mode properly.)
I have two NANDS:; one unmodified and one with Unlaunch installed.

When I attempted to boot the unmodified NAND, it fails to boot with Error 2-2345-8325.
When I attempted to boot the NAND with Unlaunch, it shows the Unlaunch splash screen as it should, but much like the original post, once the splash screen goes away it never actually shows the DSi menu. The system hangs after the splash screen.

I was having this same problem except I never installed Unlaunch, but managed to rip my Dad's DSi Bios regardless and they work in No$GBA not melonDS I made my own thread about this, but if this is happening with others I can only assume this to be a potential emulator issue.

Hopefully one of us can find a solution but you may want to check your NAND to see if it has the nocash footer since MelonDS needs it, I managed to get my NAND with the Nocash footer but still no luck for me.

Regardless hope what little info I have helps, somehow.

May I ask you something does your DSi Home menu have a picture on the top screen apparently I'm hearing from someone over on the internet archive that having a picture there could be the reason the NAND wont boot.

I'm thinking of testing that myself by tranfserring the photos on my system to my SD card then ripping the BIOS and NAND to try again, wish me luck!
