Hello there!

I have two questions, but first let me say that I am trying to connect to gen 4 Pokémon games. I was able to connect them with one computer the first time with Local, and it was successful!! I did this by following the advice to disable the frame rate limiter, vsync, and audio sync. However, the second time was not successful because the instances were just going way too fast, and out of control. I think that is why they were not able to see each other the 2nd time. 1st question: does anyone know how to solve the speed issue, so that they can connect?
Also, I have been successful is trading via GTS on an unofficial server quite well. This one obviously requires the direct connection. However, when trying to link up two computers playing the game, and each having their separate connection, they still do not see each other. Has anyone been able to successfully connect online to different players and how can I make this work?
Thanks a lot everyone, any help is appreciated! :)

I doubt MelonAP and winpcap play good with VM (are you using 4 separate NDS Bios Dumps?) ,but you could try google GCP Instances to replicate additional desktop environments given you know a little ssh you can even install gui. Otherwise for now attempting MelonAP/WinpCap with multiple instances might be a problem idk I havnt really "tried".

If you use same console id and attempt a online connection one of them will be booted.

Did you dump DSI or nds or DSI(forced)?
If your using wiimmfi servers there some incompatibilities with some Pokemon games
Try running the roms from different file paths if your running them from the same directory. Possibly creating entirly new emulator folders so dumps arnt all the same directory.

Thanks for your response! I will look into that. One of the computers I have is a Mac boots Windows 10 as well. And the others is just a laptop that normally runs windows 10.
I am not totally sure what you mean by dump, however I am just using two instances with the same program, which uses one set of bios (bios7, bios9, etc.)
Thanks for the two different program idea I will try and let you know.

It worked! Thanks a lot. Using two different directories I think is what got it. Thanks a ton.
My other question though, about trying to connect two different computers, one instance on each, is it possible? Like connect both to the wiimmfi server and use the wifi club thing to connect? Like I said, I have successfully done it via GTS but I wanted to know about battling online. I think you answered it above, I just don’t really know what all those things mean. Could you explain a bit better? Thanks again!

By the dumps I mean the arm7,arm9 and firmware.bin files. They cant be the same.

Im developing a project in Metroid Prime Hunters where I keep a bot online 24/7.
I'm building it on melonDS/windows and macros scripts (ifttt images)
Keep in mind MPH has full server compatibility, wiimmfi isnt a problem in general with melonDS , in order for 2 instances to connect online at the same time the DS bios files need to be different and cant originate from the same DS or DSi.
I wouldn't pull random bios files from online either as they are likely banned on wiimmfi. These files contain identifiers such as mac addresses.

Please keep me updated I too would like to know if multiple instances work online from the same PC.

only firmware files really differ. all DS's have the same BIOS.

I stand corrected, figured it would be easier for OP to dump it all.
Arisotura one hell of a machine you've made here thank you.
