Im trying to connect two saves of Pokemon Platinum but Im confused as to how this is supposed to work. Ive been researching for an hour and have no idea what Im doing. It's two instances on one pc, I just want the local play to work for trading and Sinnoh Underground. Can someone please explain how Im supposed to set this up? |

you run the two instances on your PC and they should be able to communicate with eachother. you might need to disable the framerate limiter/vsync/audiosync to get a better connection. ____________________ Kuribo64 |

If the melonDS instances are on the same LAN, that's the "virtual equivalent" of two DSs being physically-near enough to send the DS-to-DS packets.
The crucial aspect is, I think, keeping the save files separate. (Currently, it looks like the only way to do that is to copy the ROM into two different folders, since there's no way to declare a savefile location yet.) So, copy your game into two folders (to create separate saves), open both "copies" of the game up in melonDS, and…start trading? I don't think there's "anything to it" per se. |
