Hi everyone,
I am using Melon 0.8, and having trouble connecting to wifi. I have npcap and I have connected my laptop to the internet via ethernet cable. I changed the wifi settings in melonds accordingly (checked the box next to 'direct mode' and chose 'ethernet' for the network adapter). Then I opened Pokemon Pearl, went to wfc settings and tested connection, but I am getting a 20100 error, although I have full bars in the corner. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. |

Did you install npcp in winpcap comaptible mode?
It's needed for this to work if you use windows 10. On win 7 you can just install winpcap. You also need to use a custom DNS server like Alwtfc or wiimmfi. |

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure if I checked for the winpcap compatibility, will do that now.
I used a certain DNS server for my DSi and it connected (got it from a youtube video), so I should use the same for MelonDS ? |

My npcap does indeed have winpcap compatibility.
I used the altwfc codes and they aren't working either, still getting the 20100 code. :/ Any ideas? |

All I can think of is maybe only allowing the ethernet connection to work.
That means disabling the wireless adapter or not using the wifi at all + disabling other unused network adapters/VPNs. |

I tried that, didn't work. The mac address listed in wifi settings in melonds is different than the one in system information options within the game. Does this have anything to do with it? I doubt it, but everything seems like its set up correctly |

the MAC address in the game's system infos is that of the emulated DS. it has nothing to do with your computer's MAC. ____________________ Kuribo64 |
